N.C. Press Club was founded in 1978 and is the state affiliate of NFPW (National Federation of Press Women), an organization of men and women in all areas of communications.
Both the state and national organizations have much to offer writers and other communicators -- especially those who do not have the chance to network and participate in professional development. Along with networking and professional development, there are meetings and annual conferences, a Communications Contest, and a chance to mentor high school and college students.
